Jerry Bransom founded Casting Designs, Inc. in 1989.  Jerry currently serves as President.  With a background in the foundry pattern business, the fit to an architectural casting business was natural.  After dissolving a partnership with a similar company in early 1989, Jerry decided to develop a new company based on quality and service.  With a few key personnel, CDI began business.  After many years, CDI has become a key and reliable source for GRG and GRC material.

Bob Dix serves as our plant manager.  Bob joined CDI in April 1994.  Bob brought with him vast experience in the GRG field from many different companies before his coming to CDI.  Bob has been involved in the GRG industry since the early 1980’s.  Bob organizes and directs our 100+ plant employees, setting and maintaining production schedules involving up to 1200 parts fabricated in a week.  Bob’s history and experience in the GRG industry provides CDI with knowledge essential in insuring smooth operations and successful project completions.

Mike Muse serves as an estimator.  Mike joined CDI in June 1991 after working in the cast stone and architectural business for many years.  Mike’s past experience serves him well in working with contractors and architects, enabling him to be able to foresee and discuss potential problems that may occur prior to installation, or before production begins on projects.

Don Wall serves as an estimator who has been with CDI since may 1990.  Don previously worked as a draftsman and estimator for GRG Southwest for 7 years.  Don has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.  He also has worked as a structural loftsman and detailer for Avondale Shipyards in Amelia, LA before joining the architectural shapes industry.  Don’s artistic education and experience, coupled with the “nuts and bolts” requirements of ship yard fabrication, enables him to understand the complexities and problems unique to this industry.  This allows him to communicate with architects and contractors in order to bring a project from the drawing stage to a successful installation and completion.

Casey Glendenning is the manager of drafting and design.  Casey started with the company in September 1994.  Casey directs a staff of drafting personnel coordinatingthe design and development of GRG / GRC drawings with the mold-making department as well as with our fabrication department, eliminating any unforeseen problems that may otherwise arise during tooling or production.  All of CDI’s drawings are completed using the latest technology in Auto Cad.

Tony DeLaTorre serves as tooling department manager.  Tony started with CDI in October 1990. He has worked in the pattern/mold making industry for more than 20 years.  His department is made up of eleven highly skilled pattern makers with nearly seventy years of experience building molds.

Scott Sterling has been with CDI since August 1993.  Scott serves as shipping and receiving manager.  He has an extensive background in the cabinet making industry prior to coming to CDI.  Scott is involved in research and development and various other departments in production.

Terri Vaughn is CDI’s customer service contact.  Terri has been with CDI since September 1997.
Terri is continuously in contact with our customers, working out details for the scheduling and timely delivery of required projects.  Terri serves as the central hub of communication for anyone calling to find out current status or information on any given project.
